1Scope
VolkswagenstandardVW80101specifiesgeneraltestconditionsforelectrical,electromechanical
andelectroniccomponents/systemsinvehicles.
Whenreferringtothisstandardincomponent-specificTechnicalSupplySpecifications,drawings
andPerformanceSpecifications,Table25(Section8)shallapplyandbesupplementedwiththe
appropriatespecificationsinconsultationwiththeresponsibleVolkswagenGroupengineering
departments.
2Generalrequirements
Therequirementsapplytotheentireoperatingvoltageandtemperaturerange.
Thefunctionsandtestconditionsrequiredfortherespectivetestshallbepermanentlymonitored
anddocumented(atleasttemperatureandsupplyvoltageaswellasswitchingperformance,
voltagedrops,loadcurrents,closed-circuitcurrentandbusmessagesincludingtimingandcontent,
etc.,whereapplicable).
Iftestseverityisnotindicated,thestandardrequirementsshallapply.
