REL Engineer  

OB SCOPE/SUMMARY:  

Assist the REL manager on daily works in laboratory. Assists and understudies Lab  Manager through closely monitoring lab related testing. 

Provides for lab-related customer  service, troubleshooting and problem solving as directed by Supervisor.  

DUTYS AND RESPONSBILITIES:  

1. Ensures all lab staffs have adequate resources, training and safety condition to perform  all aspects of work required.  

2. Ensures all daily technical and test reports are competency recorded and maintained.  

3. Ensures all test plan can be completed within timeline.  

4. Assists Lab Supervisor to prepare training material, test standards, and equipment  maintenance documents.  

5. Maintains all Lab equipment, fixtures and tooling in good conditions for daily  operation.

6. Assists in-house equipment's calibration internally and outsourcing 3rd-part lab  calibration.  

7. Assists to build testing plan performing for new product development stage.  

8. Assists to prepare SOP for testing equipment operating, and SIP for operators to follow.  

9. Assists to demon and appliance test standards to operators to follow. 

10. Assists to translate client’s testing manual into local language (Chinese) for operators  to follow.  

11. To follow-up and update testing requirements/standards according to new  international/specify countries' regulations to operators. 

 12. Monitors the test lab daily operations, review test reports and oversee products  conformity.  

13. Support Proto, EVT, DVT, PVT, RAMP developing phases reliability test and ORT  (On-going Reliability Test) processing and reporting to client timely. 

 14. Review FA before submitting to customer. Ability to drive other teams to timely solve  REL issues when occur.  

QUALIFICATIONS :   

EXPERENCE AND SKILLS:  

1. At least 2 years of reliability testing or quality assurance working experience. The one  has Apple product reliability testing or manufacturing process is preferred.  

2. Foreign customer management experience is preferred.  

3. Experience with soft-good product (textile bonded with PC panel) durability testing  standards and methods, reliability phenomena, failure symptom. Well know the common  cosmetic judgment, function performance, and the failure analysis methods.  

4. Familiar with basic reliability tests such as temperature and humidity, UV, salt spray,  vibration, drop, etc. Ability of failure analysis tests such as cross section, photo analysis by  optical microscope.  

5. Be able to operate the common equipment in lab and familiar with the basic  maintenance. 

 6. Excellent communication of English, speaking, writing, listening   

EDUCATION BACKGROUND： Bachelor's degree in engineering background or Quality related.   

TRAINING EXPERENCE:  Reliability related training & experience.  QC method
